`Hey,
Nice to meet everyone
I've been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil and I'm mostly self-taught... learning to paint with Acrylics.
I'm mostly an animal artist but I do try landscapes.. and wish I could have good results drawing/painting people...
I'm also a beginner digital artist but I don't have any fancy programs... just the "paint" one that came with my laptop...

`thanks for the suggestions naturegirlliz.
I'm aware that there are groups in the area, I just haven't made the leap yet. I almost did get into a local class but I have a son in school and the class was at an awkward time and I couldn't make it there and back home in time. My current sitter doesn't do early afternoons and I'm not comfortable getting some stranger to watch him.
I do know that any class with a model, you definitely have to respect the model. It takes courage to drop your clothes in front of a bunch of strangers so that they can draw your body. So the respect part wouldn't be an issue from me.
I didn't know the local libraries offered art workshops, I'll look and see if mine does. It'd be great because they know my son there and he can get on the computers while I'm in the workshop... providing it's at a time I can attend.
and yay! I made the leap and got a graphics tablet and I love it! It came with a great art program and I also downloaded GIMP, a free art program that's close to photoshop.
I'm also going through some art basics and hoping it'll help me when I try to paint or do digital art.
I haven't produced anything majorly breathtaking in a long time... and I'm debating if I should post it online at all if I did...
